I earned my Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Dalhousie University in 2005 and went on to achieve my Chartered Professional Accountant designation in the Province of Nova Scotia in 2006. 

I have more than 15 years of experience in a variety of areas including Bookkeeping, Payroll, Internal Reporting, Controllership, Public Practice, and Not-for-Profit Organizations. 

I am exceptional at organization, a quick learner, and enjoy seeing the big picture.

I have spent my time as a CPA working at a well known Accounting Firm, a Government Funded Not-for-Profit Organization, and a Family Owned Business. During my time at each, I found value and experience and was able to identify my passions.

I love working with clients. It brings me joy to provide technical assistance as well as to brainstorm for future growth. I learn a great deal from each client I meet, and enjoy watching their business flourish and succeed.

I also thoroughly enjoy project work. I have managed projects such as the Implementation of Accounting Software, Cost Allocation Modelling, and Mergers and Acquisitions. Getting in there, figuring out the challenge, and getting it organized is an amazing experience each and every time. The intrinsic value of seeing a project through to completion and having things work successfully is huge.

In a nut shell, I am a passionate CPA.

I have a variety of personal interests that focus around my son, creativity and faith.

After many years playing sports myself, I have transitioned to coaching and volunteering with children’s sports, including Cole Harbour Cardinals (Baseball) and Cole Harbour Rockets (Basketball).

I am highly involved in my church, volunteering with the Youth Group, Vacation Bible School, and more recently accepting the position of Chair of the Christian Education Committee. I also participate in the Worship Team as a Vocalist.

As well, I thoroughly enjoy any opportunity to get creative, whether it be painting, drawing, or crafting.
